We created Bella Vita Yoga Teacher Training with a desire to bring the “heart” back into Yoga Teacher Training. Combined, we have over 20 years of experience with yoga, along with approximately 1500 hours of training. We also share a tremendous love for yoga, and for the many ways yoga has enhanced the lives of ourselves and others. Our unique approach to Yoga Teacher Training emphasizes yoga as a lifestyle  and a means to living a more joyful life. While our training emphasizes Vinyasa yoga, many approaches will be explored, and is absolutely appropriate both for those interested in teaching yoga, as well as those who may not desire to teach, but simply want to immerse themselves in all things yoga. Bella Vita Yoga Teacher Training exceeds Yoga Alliance standards as a 200-Hour Registered Yoga School. Upon successful completion of our program, you will be fully qualified to apply with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 Hour level. Bella Vita Yoga offers a multi-disciplinary methodology to Teacher Training, combining a number of techniques to optimize your learning experience. Below is a sample of topics we will explore together in Yoga Teacher Training:

  • Daily guided Vinyasa and other types of asana practices emphasizing teaching techniques with a variety of themes
  • Exploration of multiple styles of yoga in addition to Vinyasa: Yin, Restorative, Therapeutic, Prenatal, Kids, and Trauma-Sensitive
  • Techniques for practicing and teaching Meditation and Pranayama
  • Benefits, Contraindications, and Modifications for a variety of yoga postures
  • Teaching to the individual while honoring and supporting your students as they are
  • How to teach intentional, engaging classes to a variety of levels
  • At-home journaling and reading assignments for self-exploration and study
  • Safe, supportive hands-on assists
  • Strong focus on anatomy and safe, effective alignment
  • Energetic anatomy and Ayurveda
  • Group discussion and student teaching
  • Dive into Yoga History, Philosophy, and Sanskrit

2017 Training Dates + Location:

Our current Yoga Teacher Training is held in Charlotte, NC at Noda Yoga {3201 North Davidson St, Unit B} in a 9-month, 1-weekend per month format consisting of Friday evening, and Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon. Our 2017 program dates are as follows:

Oct 13.14.15  Nov 10.11.12  Dec 8.9.10  Jan 12.13.14  Feb 9.10.11.  Mar 9.10.11  April 13.14.15  May 18.19.20  June 8.9.10

Training schedule is typically: Friday 7:15 – 10p; Saturday 8:30m – 5:30p; and Sunday 8:30a – 4:30p.
